Josh Trant
I’m a SAG-AFTRA actor bringing emotionally rich, layered performances to every project—on screen and on stage. Trained at the Actors Studio Drama School in New York, I’ve earned recognition in the ABC Discovers Talent Showcase and on series like Chicago PD. Based in Los Angeles, I specialize in compelling, complex characters and thrive on building roles quickly or digging deep over months. With a dedication to craft and a story-first mindset, I’m ready to help shape tomorrow’s standout dramas and comedies.

With a degree in Sports Broadcasting and Journalism from TCU, my journey took a sharp turn to the heart of acting in New York, where I honed my craft at the Actors Studio Drama School, studying with teachers from the legendary Actors Studio. My training spans Method and Meisner techniques, Chekhov teachers in London, and Shakespearean instruction from the Globe itself. Years of experience at a self-taping studio in Los Angeles have made me a sharp cold reader, able to dive into any scene on a moment’s notice. My love of great American classics—from Tennessee Williams to Arthur Miller and Sam Shepard—inspires much of my work, but I’m equally at home in drama and comedy for film and TV.
About Me
Experience
Notable Roles
The Glass Menagerie
Jim O'Connor (supporting)
Portrayed Jim O’Conner in The Glass Menagerie, exploring the character’s iconic charm and complexity. I enjoyed the role because Tennessee Williams’ vivid imagery carried me into Jim’s poetic and realistic world, allowing me as an actor to feel truly uplifted.
Chicago PD
Michael Stantz (guest star)
Playing Michael Stantz as a guest star on Chicago PD was my first experience on the show, and I was proud of the creative choices I made even without the safety net of a recurring role. I arrived fully prepared and ready to jump into the fast-paced world of procedural television.
All My Sons
Chris Miller (co-lead)
Chris Miller remains one of my favorite characters to play, delivering one of my all-time favorite monologues. I loved exploring who Chris was before the play begins, and how those unseen chapters shape his journey throughout the story.
TRENT
Trent (lead)
Landing my first leading role as Trent in a feature film was a milestone—over 1,000 actors auditioned in New York. Being in every scene was an incredible experience, and because it was so early in my career, what you see on screen is pure instinct—free and unfiltered.
The Last Take
Young William (co-lead)
Portraying Young William in The Last Take gave me the chance to work alongside many Actors Studio members and other established performers—a real milestone in my growth. Grounding my performance and focusing on honest storytelling were central to this project, helping me mature both on and off screen.
The Seagull
Konstantin (co-lead)
My first stage role at the Actors Studio Drama School, and still one of my favorites. Chekhov’s writing gave me the freedom to trust the process and let the work flow through me, making the experience both grounding and inspiring.
